Chile-Harvard Innovative Learning Exchange (CHILE)
The CHILE program is a multi-part on-site research collaboration with peers and faculty at the University of Chile and Pontifica Universidad Catolica de Chile. Harvard students work to solve problems drawn from astronomical data collected at various observatories in Chile. Problems cover topics in data management, data systems, machine learning and algorithmic applications.
This program is open to students in the Harvard Master’s of Engineering in Computational Science and Engineering program or Harvard students pursuing a PhD. Selected Harvard students will travel to Chile during wintersession to begin research collaboration.
Data Shack Project in Milan (a part of AC 297r Capstone Project Course)
The Data Shack project is a multi-part on-site research collaboration with peers and faculty at Politecnico di Milano (Como Campus). Four Harvard students enrolled in the Capstone Project Course will join four students from Milan to solve problems that cross the disciplines of data management, machine learning, data analysis, statistics and mathematics, data visualization and user experience design.
