IACS is pleased to announce the appointments of two new postdoctoral researchers, Cecilia Garraffo and Marios Matthaiakis.
Prior to joining IACS, Cecilia, who received her Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Buenos Aires, was a postdoctoral research fellow at the High Energy Astrophysics division of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. At IACS, she will collaborate with Pavlos Protopapas, IACS Scientific Program Director, on his research and support IACS’s educational activities.
Marios received his Ph.D. in applied Computational Physics from the University of Crete. Recently, as part of the Kaxiras research group at Harvard, Marios, has been involved in innovative computational and mathematical approaches focusing on graphene and other two-dimensional materials. At IACS, he will continue to conduct research with IACS/SEAS faculty members and support graduate research projects.
