Alessandro Paticchio
Alessandro Paticchio grew up in Lecce, a city in the Southern Italy, and moved to Milan to study for a B.Sc. in Computer Science at Politecnico di Milano. He is currently enrolled in the "Computer Science and Engineering" M.Sc. of Politecnico, focusing his studies on Machine Learning and Data Science. He is one of the founders of Polimi Data Scientists, a student association whose aim is to connect University with enterprise. In Fall 2018, he spent a semester abroad in Gothenburg, Sweden, at Chalmers University of Technology and last summer he collaborated with Zemove, an Italian start-up working on smart-mobility, leveraging his skills to perform data refinement and analysis. He is currently doing research for his Master thesis at the Harvard University Institute for Applied Computational Science (IACS), understanding how pre-trained Deep Learning models for image recognition can be adapted to new tasks.
