Tommaso Scarlatti
Tommaso Scarlatti was born and raised in Florence, Italy. He received a B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the University of Florence in 2017 with a thesis on stochastic Petri nets. In the same year he moved to Milan to pursue a M.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, focusing his studies on Data Science and Software Engineering. In 2018 he ranked 2nd in the ACM Recommender Systems Challenge by Spotify working with the official team of Politecnico, and he presented a paper at the 2018 ACM Recommender Systems conference in Vancouver, Canada. He is currently a visiting student researcher for his Master thesis at the Harvard University Institute for Applied Computational Science (IACS), working on discovering new ways to perform transfer learning on deep convolutional neural networks.
